School Partnership Program
Sakima Productions has created a school partnership program that helps guide and mentor junior high and high school students who are serious about an entertainment career. Each year schools that are eligible will apply and go through our selection process. Chosen school(s) will then have their students apply for the Internship Program. Selected candidates will be learning about the business and performance aspect of the industry along with participating and working on selected events throughout the selected school year.
Purpose: To gain experience and further the individual's career and involvement in the entertainment industry.
SchoolEligibility:
· Inner City School with low poverty levels
· Have a performing arts class or program in affect
· Complete a School Partnership application form, due April 1st every year
· Complete a 500 word essay, why the school should be considered and how their students will benefit
· Have a minimum of 15 students interesting in furthering a career in the performing arts
· One on one interview with the director/contact person from the school/program
· At least an hour observation of one of the performing arts classes
